On 15th of October 2020, Ontario held a new Tech Draw inviting 772 Express Entry candidates. This PNP draw targets Express Entry candidates with work experience in one of six tech occupations.
This Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued was targeting Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to the candidates who are qualified for the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream. 772 applicants have received their Notifications of Interest to the eligible candidates in the latest tech draw. The CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score has to be between 462 and 470 to attain an invite. An additional condition of having work experience in one of the following occupations:
Computer and information systems managers – NOC 0213
Computer engineers – NOC 2147
Database analysts and data administrators – NOC 2172
Software engineers and designers – NOC 2173
Computer programmer and interactive media developers – NOC 2174
Web designers and developers – NOC 2175
The Candidate does not need to have a job offer to receive an invite but will need a one year of work experience in one of these tech occupations as a minimum requirement.
The eligibility criteria:
-Profile in the Express Entry system.
– Once the candidate receives an NOI from Ontario they will have 45 days to submit their application for the provincial nomination
– Once the candidate attains the nomination from Ontario, an additional 600 CRS points will be added to their overall CRS score automatically. This assures that the candidates will receive ITA (Invitation to Apply) in the subsequent express entry draw. This valid for everyone nominated under any Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) in Canada.
This is the fourth tech draw in Ontario this year after the biggest tech on July 29 inviting 1,288 Express Entry candidates for a provincial nomination.
