FLEXIBILITY IN STUDY AND WORK PERMIT

New measures to help candidates applying for Canadian study or work permit in this COVID-19 virus pandemic. The major measures announced to help who wish to study or work in Canada. in a recent update by IRCC for Post Graduation work permit eligibility for an international student to work and study in Canada.

The measures are

-Students can study overseas till April 30, 2021, will not have any time deducted from their lengths of Post Graduation work permit, as long as their 50% of education is done in Canada.

-The students signed up for their 8-12 month courses, can complete it away from Canada with a start date from May to September and will yet be eligible for a Post Graduation work permit.

-I f the candidates enrolled between May & September 2020, they can study online till April 30, 2020. Candidates pursuing more than one course will be able to combine the lengths of the program while applying for a Post Graduation work permit, with a condition to complete at least 50% of their education in Canada.

Post Graduation work permit is a three-year opportunity depending upon their program duration, that allows the student to work for any employer. The work experience earned could be helpful for the further immigration process. IRCC concluded that it would be eased to make sure that the status transition is simpler in these difficult times of global pandemic.
